I figured out that if I change my default playback device to AverMedia, it WILL recognize it. OBS is still not recognizing audio from my gaming PC. Now I'm just dealing with the audio issue. Would VAC be the solution? I couldn't figure out how to fix it at the time so I reverted back to a single PC setup. I believe I was able to get the audio captured on OBS, but this was by setting the default playback device to the capture card so I couldn't listen to my headphones because no audio was coming out. I couldn't get the audio working correctly, complicated by the fact that I use a USB audio amp that my headphones are plugged into. Thanks for this guide! I had issues before when running a 2-PC stream setup using an AverMedia capture card on my gaming PC.
